Yes, TVE does not require a BendBroadband Internet subscription, and you can access it from any Internet connection you are using. That said, if you subscribe to both TV and Internet with BendBroadband, there is no limit on the amount of Internet you use, which means you can enjoy unlimited TVE viewing at home! If you watch a TVE network using your cellular data subscription, make sure you are keeping track of your usage and standard data usage charges from your mobile data provider.
Some networks, such as Showtime, will allow you to set parental controls within its app. To manage this for different people in the home, you will need the child to have their own email address and password. The master email on the account can enjoy full access to Showtime, and the child account can be limited to age-appropriate content. Unfortunately, some apps do not provide this option. We encourage you to make sure you are monitoring which TVE apps are downloaded on your child’s device (such as Disney Junior and Nickelodeon). We also encourage you to set parental controls within the device itself. While this step may not be completely failsafe, it can provide an additional layer of caution based on TV and Movie ratings. Furthermore, you can set up parental controls for TV Everywhere content through your Bendbroadband online account, when you have Administrative access (or are assigned an Administrative Role).
